Dr. SantaLucia joined our practice in 1996.  Dr. SantaLucia is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.  Additionally he is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Contact Dermatitis Society, the New York State Society for Dermatology, and the Buffalo/Rochester Dermatological Society.

 

His first interest in medicine was through the Young Scientist Training Program at Canisius College while he was a Junior at Hutchinson Central Technical High School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Clarkson University where he graduated with distinction, was awarded the Phalanx Award as the Top Biology Major, and was named Presidential Scholar his last five semesters.

 

Dr. SantaLucia received his M.D. from Dartmouth Medical School in New Hampshire, ranking in the top 15% of his class.

 

Dr. SantaLucia completed his residency in Dermatology at the University of Tennessee at Memphis, where he also served as Chief Resident in his final year. Dr. SantaLucia went beyond the scope of traditional residencies to further enhance his training. He has worked part time in private practices in Tennessee, focusing on laser surgeries such as laser removal of pigmented and vascular lesions. Dr. SantaLucia also worked in public clinics, including the Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic for the Memphis, Tennessee Health Department. In addition, he has attended numerous Continuing Medical Education courses across the nation covering a wide variety of Dermatologic and Dermatological Surgery topics.
